SurfDog Tours is a new travel agency located in the small town of Puerto Jimenez on Costa Rica's South Western peninsula, the Osa. My name is Josiah Lott, and my wife, Alison, and I co-founded SurfDog Tours. We moved to the Osa Peninsula in July of 2005 after visiting the area many times over the past ten years. Alison and I both graduated from the University of Virginia in 2005 and 2003, respectively. I took the more philisophical path and graduated with a history degree (focus on the American Civil War). With ambitions of becoming a doctor, Alison majored in Bio-chemistry (with honors) and received a second major in Spanish. Until recently, Alison spent her time teaching in Puerto Jimenez's first private school and I would have been found at the beach improving my surfing. However, the vacation in paradise had to end some time, and as a result we conceived of SurfDog Tours, a travel agency based on personal care during both the booking process and your vacation. As experts in enjoying all of the fruits of this tropical paradise we ask who is better to show you the Osa Peninsula? As locals we are not only fluent in the native language, but also familiar with the people and places in and around Puerto Jimenez, Matapalo, and Corcovado National Park. In opening SurfDog Tours, our goal is to apply our abilities as entertainers with local knowledge to build a loyal and growing clientel driven by customer satisfaction.
